Explore the art of MARGARITA DELANO

Her previous works were complex and figurative, characterized by hidden messages that she continues to pursue.
However, she is currently focused on creating water sculptures, also known as Ocean Art, for a particular reason.
Margarita feels the need to surround herself with water, as the world has felt particularly crazy and
overwhelming to her in the last two years. Since her near-death experience,
she has developed a deeper connection to nature and the universe.
Thus, she has decided to create water sculptures, which she now also
sells through an online shop to bring joy to others.

This art is rendered in a nearly perfect, realistic manner, capturing the reflection of water in a nearly magical way in the light.
She herself says that when she looks at a water sculpture in the light or in the sunshine for an extended period,
she feels a kind of meditative calm and deep peace. At first glance, these works may seem to stand
in stark contrast to her previous painted pieces due to their simplicity.
However, on a closer look, both art forms are in harmony with each other –
they pay homage to the universe, our ancestors, nature, and human existence.
They serve as an indictment of human civilization while also honoring the power and
beauty of water and the oceans, without which we would not exist.
Furthermore, it is important to the artist that those who are familiar with the
first part of her story know that she now considers herself a very satisfied and balanced person.
With a smile, she proudly refers to herself as special and acknowledges that
she does not necessarily fit in everywhere – and that is perfectly okay.
She wants to convey to people out there that it is possible to emerge from conditions such as
depression and similar states and to make the best of what can happen to us.
This is one of the reasons she feels the urge to share the art of healing water
with those who need a little support in their everyday lives.
A book about her story will soon be published,
and she occasionally appears as a motivational speaker
to discuss these issues and share her personal story as an example to inspire others.
Margarita „Meg“ Delano is a versatile artist with Czech-Puerto Rican roots who was discovered as a child prodigy in school. However, her enthusiasm for art was quickly stifled by her father, who believed that art was not a serious pursuit in life.
Her difficult home life, with an aggressive and mentally abusive father,
led her to run away from home as a teenager and come to Vienna, where she still lives today.
Even though she could escape her father's terror, the demons of her childhood caught up with her in adulthood.
Despite developing into a strong woman and PR manager, she faced a tragic turning point:
after years of depression that eventually escalated, she survived an accidental suicide.
This dramatic experience catapulted her to the other side and brought her back with a gift
from the universe: synesthesia, a neurological anomaly that affects about 2-3 percent of humanity.
In her case, it is the ability to hear colors and perceive the frequencies of colors.
Margarita describes this time as the best thing that could have happened to her.
In reference to the well-known artist Falco, she says, "I had to die first in order to live."
She wishes to show others what it means to hear colors in the night
while sleeping and to experience the frequencies of colors.

Fortunately, this incident was also her way back to art and the unfolding of her talent.
For several years, she has been active as an artist and has had a successful career with her gallery works,
which can also be seen on her website, exhibiting in various galleries such as Monaco, Milan, and Vienna.
